What 88 means
The official Furrion electric fireplace manuals list display 88 as manual reset overheat protection triggered.
Owner-safe checks
- Turn the fireplace off from normal controls and let it cool completely.
- Confirm visible air inlets and outlets are clear and soft goods are at least 6 inches away.
- Restart once with the normal power button after cooling; stop using the fireplace if 88 returns.
Service-only work
- Repeated overheat protection, heater inspection, sensor diagnosis, and internal electrical service belong with Lippert, Furrion, or qualified RV electrical service.
Safety boundary
Disconnect power before fireplace service. Internal heater, sensor, and qualified RV electrical work are not owner troubleshooting steps.
