Dometic Americana not cooling temperature test
Use this when a Dometic Americana refrigerator or freezer is not cooling sufficiently and the owner needs an 8 hours temperature check against Dometic fresh-food and freezer specifications.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Let the Americana refrigerator run from normal controls for 8 hours before judging cabinet temperature.
- Record liquid temperature in the refrigerator compartment and temperature in the freezer compartment.
- Move food if temperature is unsafe and call qualified RV refrigerator service if temperatures remain above Dometic specifications.
