Dometic Brisk AC frost on cooling coil
Use this when a Dometic Brisk air conditioner shows frost or ice on the cooling coil with very cold output and low air speed.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Inspect the owner-accessible filter and clean it if dirty.
- Make sure supply vents are open and not obstructed.
- Set the thermostat warmer if outside temperature is relatively low.
- Run any fan-only setting until the cooling coil is free of frost, then resume normal operation.
- If frost continues, stop cooling and contact qualified RV HVAC service.
