Dometic CCC2 operating instructions describe automatic heat-pump defrost between about 42 F and 30 F, HP/Defrost display toggling, fan pause and restart, and auxiliary heat below about 30 F with heat-pump operation resuming above about 35 F.
Owner-safe checklist
- Record outdoor temperature, selected zone, heat mode, display text, and whether HP and Defrost are alternating.
- Let the automatic defrost cycle finish if the RV remains safe and warm enough.
- Use normal furnace or auxiliary heat controls when outdoor temperature is below about 30 F and the heat pump cannot keep up.
- Call qualified RV HVAC service if heat-pump heating fails in moderate weather or the display behavior does not match the manual.
