Dometic CCC2 hourglass or compressor delay
Dometic CCC2 operating instructions show an hourglass during the approximately 2 minute delay before a cooling or heat-pump cycle starts, and describe that delay any time the compressor begins a cooling or heat-pump cycle.
Owner-safe checklist
- Record the selected zone, mode, setpoint, room temperature, and whether the hourglass icon is showing.
- Wait at least 2 minutes after a normal cooling or heat-pump call before treating startup as failed.
- Do not repeatedly cycle the thermostat to force an immediate start.
- Turn the affected zone off and call qualified RV HVAC service if the unit never starts after the normal delay.
