Dometic OD-5001 winter operation and winterizing

Use this when preparing an OD-5001 for freezing storage or deciding what to record before freeze-risk service.

Owner-safe checklist

• Turn the water heater off and shut off LP from normal RV controls before winterizing.
• Follow Dometic and coach winterizing steps exactly for draining, air, or RV antifreeze.
• Do not operate a frozen or suspected freeze-damaged water heater.
• Call service before use if the unit froze or leaks after winter storage.
