Dometic RM10 evaporator ice buildup or defrosting

Use this when RM10 evaporator fins are frosted, full of ice, or building ice faster than before.

Owner-safe checklist

Defrost when frost on the fins is about 3 mm or 0.118 inches thick; uneven frost on one side can be normal.
Do not use mechanical tools or a hair dryer to remove ice or loosen frozen items.
Record rapid ice buildup, temperature setting, door behavior, and whether the refrigerator seems to run at maximum power.
Use an authorized repair centre for fast-repeat ice buildup, suspected temperature-sensor trouble, or cooling-unit positioning concerns.
