Dometic Single Zone LCD thermostat instructions say a time delay of approximately two minutes occurs any time the compressor is required to begin a cooling or heat-pump cycle.
Owner-safe checklist
- Record selected mode, setpoint, room temperature, and whether cooling or heat pump was just requested.
- Wait at least 2 minutes after a normal cooling or heat-pump call before treating startup as failed.
- Do not repeatedly cycle the thermostat to force an immediate compressor start.
- Call qualified RV HVAC service if the compressor never starts after the normal delay.
