Owner-safe checklist
- Record outside temperature estimate, selected mode, fan setting, and whether the compressor is off below 30 F.
- Use normal furnace or heat-strip controls if equipped when the heat pump is below its operating range.
- Do not keep forcing heat-pump starts below the documented low-ambient lockout temperature.
- Call qualified RV HVAC service if heat-pump heating fails above the documented low-ambient range.
