Furrion furnace soot, yellow flame, or blocked exhaust
The official Furrion furnace manual warns that soot on the vent, blocked exhaust, or a yellow or lazy flame means the furnace should be shut down and inspected by a dealer or qualified service provider before further use.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Shut the furnace down if you see soot on the vent, yellow or lazy flame, exhaust blockage, or smell gas.
- Keep people out of the RV if gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm is present; do not operate switches, phones, the engine, or the generator inside the vehicle.
- Have a dealer or qualified RV service provider inspect exhaust tubes, combustion components, LP system, and venting before using the furnace again.
