Furrion furnace soot, yellow flame, or blocked exhaust

The official Furrion furnace manual warns that soot on the vent, blocked exhaust, or a yellow or lazy flame means the furnace should be shut down and inspected by a dealer or qualified service provider before further use.

Owner-safe checklist

  • Shut the furnace down if you see soot on the vent, yellow or lazy flame, exhaust blockage, or smell gas.
  • Keep people out of the RV if gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm is present; do not operate switches, phones, the engine, or the generator inside the vehicle.
  • Have a dealer or qualified RV service provider inspect exhaust tubes, combustion components, LP system, and venting before using the furnace again.
