Owner-safe checklist

• Record the Girard tankless water-heater model, exact E1 or E2 display, water-flow condition, LP state, power state if known, and when the error appears.
• Save photos of the display, model label, exterior vent condition from normal owner access, water-temperature setting, and service paperwork.
• Turn the water heater off and turn LP off for LP odor, exhaust concern, overheating, leak, or repeated E1/E2 symptoms.
• Use Girard/Lippert support or qualified RV water-heater service for LP system, installed power, water-heater internals, parts, warranty, or repair decisions.
