Owner-safe checklist

• Record the Girard tankless model, controller display, E8 error, water-temperature symptom, recent weather, and any odor or leak condition.
• Save photos of the controller, exterior label, and visible owner-facing indicators.
• Shut the water heater down for odor, leak, overheating, freeze concern, or repeated E8 behavior, then contact Lippert support or qualified RV service.
