Troubleshooting guide
Onan Energy Command SERVICE DUE or SERVICE IN reminder
The EC-30 SERVICE IN display counts down to required generator service and alternates SERVICE DUE with ENTER to Reset after the interval; the EC-AGS+ Alerts screen also displays maintenance and exercise reminders.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Record SERVICE IN hours, SERVICE DUE, generator model/spec, and hour-meter reading before calling support.
- Disable AGS before any generator service, battery service, electrical-appliance service, fueling, storage, or confined-space condition.
- Use the installed generator operator manual to identify the required maintenance interval and service items.
- Reset the service reminder only after the generator has actually been serviced.
- Use Cummins Onan or qualified generator service for generator maintenance beyond normal owner checks.
