Suburban cooktop burner lighting, air in line, or blowout
Use this when a Suburban cooktop burner will not light normally, takes extra time after air in the gas line, or blowout happens; Suburban says delayed ignition can occur after air in the gas line, to light only one burner at a time, and to turn the knob OFF, wait five minutes, and relight only if no gas odor remains.
Owner-safe checklist
- Identify the correct knob before lighting and keep the cover fully open.
- Light only one burner at a time and stay with the appliance while it is on.
- If the flame extinguishes or blows out, turn the knob OFF and wait five minutes before one normal relight attempt.
- If odor remains or the burner repeatedly will not stay lit, stop use and contact qualified service.
