Suburban range oven pilot, vent, and carbon monoxide boundary
Use this when a Suburban range oven pilot will not stay lit, oven vent openings may be covered, foil is blocking oven airflow, or the range is being considered as a space heater; Suburban warns these conditions can create fire, poor combustion, and carbon monoxide hazards.
Owner-safe checklist
- Before any pilot-light attempt, turn controls OFF, open the oven door, and stop if gas odor is present.
- Keep oven vent openings and airflow paths uncovered, and do not line the oven bottom or rack with foil.
- Never use the oven, range, or cooktop as a space heater.
- Use qualified service if the pilot will not stay lit, odor is present, or covered-vent operation occurred.
