Suburban tankless freeze protection or voltage protection
Use this when a Suburban IW60, IW60RL, ST-42, or ST-60 on-demand water heater has freeze-protection behavior, winterizing concerns, or low/high 12V protection.
Owner-safe checklist
- Do not rely on freeze protection as a substitute for winterizing the entire RV water system.
- Drain or winterize the system before storage in freezing temperatures according to the Suburban and RV instructions.
- Record whether gas and electrical power were available, whether the unit dripped water in cold weather, and whether coach voltage was below 10VDC or above 17VDC.
- Call qualified service for repeated voltage protection, freeze-related leaks, pressure-relief discharge, or any work behind a service panel.
