Suburban tankless water heater low flow or temperature swing
Use this when a Suburban tankless water heater is slow to deliver hot water, needs minimum flow, or drops temperature because flow is restricted.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Open the hot-water faucet enough to meet the manual's minimum flow requirement.
- Do not use a showerhead pause button during troubleshooting because the manual says reduced flow can shut the heater down.
- Remove owner-accessible faucet or shower flow restrictions only if safe and allowed by the coach setup.
- Call service if low-flow or temperature swings continue.
