Suburban tankless water heater lockout
Use this when a Suburban IW60, IW60RL, ST-42, or ST-60 on-demand water heater fails ignition trials, enters lockout, or times out after extended operation.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Turn the faucet or control switch off, then back on once using the normal reset path described by Suburban.
- Open the hot-water faucet fully during startup so the unit has enough flow.
- Stop repeated reset attempts if lockout returns.
- Call Suburban, a dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repeated ignition or lockout problems.
