Norcold ON and GAS lights flash fault code — Refrigerator
Applies to: N61X, N81X
What ON and GAS lights flash means
The official N61/N81 owner manual lists ON and GAS lights flash as: no energy source is available; AC is unavailable or gas/manual mode did not light or relight.
Owner-safe checks
- Record whether the lights flash about once per second and which mode was selected.
- Confirm the RV has shore power or generator power available using normal owner-visible controls.
- Move perishables if refrigerator temperature is unsafe.
Service-only work
- AC supply, LP pressure, ignition, and refrigerator-control diagnosis should be handled by qualified Norcold service.
Safety boundary
Do not hand-light, clean flame parts, adjust LP gas, bypass refrigerator controls, or open electrical compartments. Shut off LP if gas odor is present and arrange qualified Norcold service for unresolved faults.
