Codes are model-specific. Match the model number on the appliance data label to one of these before using the table:
QG 2800/2800 EVAP KV Spec E-M, QG 2500 LP KV legacy models
Where to look and what to record
- generator model/spec letter
- hour meter
- fault blink count
- loads running when the shutdown occurred
Code table
| Code | What the manufacturer says |
|---|---|
| 1 | One blink indicates shutdown due to high engine coolant temperature. |
| 2 | Two blinks indicate shutdown due to a loss of engine oil pressure. |
| 3 | Three blinks indicate a service fault and the manual directs owners to press Stop once for the two-digit second-level shutdown code. |
| 4 | Four blinks indicate that cranking time exceeded 35 seconds. |
Generators can produce carbon monoxide, moving-part hazards, fuel hazards, and lethal voltage. Shut the generator down and do not open energized compartments unless qualified.
