Dometic FreshJet not cooling mode selection
Use this when a Dometic FreshJet air conditioner is not cooling well and the first owner check is that cooling mode is selected with the MODE button.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Press MODE from normal controls until the cooling display message appears.
- Lower the set temperature and wait for normal compressor delay before judging cooling.
- Confirm visible vents are open and the return-air filter is clean.
- Use qualified RV HVAC service if FreshJet still does not cool after normal mode, setpoint, and airflow checks.
