Dometic FreshJet FJX not heating within temperature limits
Use this when a Dometic FreshJet FJX in heating mode is not heating near the -2 C lower ambient limit and the setpoint may need to be set higher.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Select heating mode from normal controls and set a higher temperature.
- Confirm ambient conditions are above -2 C before judging heat-pump performance.
- Keep air intake openings, air nozzles, and ventilation grilles clear, and clean the ADB filter if owner-accessible.
- Call authorized Dometic service if normal controls and visible airflow checks do not restore heating.
