Dometic RM10 internal battery packs
Use this when an RM10 owner is changing the internal battery packs that power the electronics during unavailable 12 V DC supply.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Use the internal battery packs only as Dometic describes when the vehicle 12 V DC supply is unavailable or cut off.
- Replace only the accessible battery packs under the operating element, using 12 AA batteries total.
- Record controller type, battery age, and whether the refrigerator switches back to normal RV power.
- Call qualified service for battery-pack contacts, wiring, electronics, or refrigerator control issues beyond normal battery handling.
