Furrion Chill 2 filter, icing, or water leak
Use this when a Furrion Chill 2, 8K, or low-profile A/C has weak cooling, icing, or water entering the vehicle.
Use this atlas to identify likely meaning and prepare for service. Shut off power, LP gas, fuel, or water when a listed appliance condition involves flame, gas smell, exhaust, generator shutdown, high temperature, moving jacks/slides, refrigerant, 120 VAC, control boards, repeated ignition failure, or a persistent lockout. Call the appliance maker, RV dealer, or a qualified RV technician for repair.
Owner-safe checklist
- Set the rooftop air conditioner to cooling from normal controls and confirm the selected temperature is lower than room temperature.
- Clean the return-air filter and never operate the air conditioning system without the filter installed.
- If icing is suspected, stop cooling and let the unit thaw through normal operation settings before restarting.
- Clean condensation drainage openings only from normal access if water enters the vehicle.
- Contact Furrion or qualified RV HVAC service if filter, icing, drainage, or water-entry symptoms continue.
