Dometic temperature sensor limp mode fault code — Refrigerator
Applies to: DM2672, DM2872, DMA4061, DMA4081, Americana II
What temperature sensor limp mode means
For DM2672, DMA4061, DM2872, and DMA4081 refrigerators, the Dometic DM/DMA operating manual says the control runs the cooling unit continuously if it cannot read the temperature sensor.
Owner-safe checks
- Record the model and continuous-run symptom for service.
- Monitor food temperature and stop using the refrigerator if safe temperatures cannot be maintained.
- Do not treat indefinite cooling-unit operation as normal operation.
Service-only work
- Temperature sensor and refrigerator control diagnosis or replacement are service-only.
Safety boundary
Do not service LP hardware, electrical circuits, cooling-system parts, sensors, or refrigerator controls; call qualified service for limp-mode operation.
