Dometic legacy absorption refrigerator display faults
Older Dometic absorption refrigerators can show flashing E-codes, warning codes, or CHECK lamp failures. Record the exact display, keep food safety in mind, and keep LP, electrical, cooling-unit, and control-module diagnosis with qualified service.
Owner-safe checklist
- Write down the exact code or lamp state, model number, product number, and serial number before resetting anything.
- If the refrigerator has stopped cooling, protect food and turn the refrigerator off if the manual says cooling-unit malfunction or ammonia smell is possible.
- Use only front-panel mode selection, one documented reset, door closing, leveling, and owner-visible supply checks.
- For repeated codes, gas odor, electrical faults, cooling-unit faults, or internal communication faults, stop use and call Dometic or qualified RV service.
