Dometic thermostat code E2
Most Dometic documentation lists E2 as “An open circuit or out-of-range indoor temperature sensor; heating and cooling operation lock out while fan operation can continue”. Some model lines word it differently or give it a different meaning: Dometic Comfort Control Center 2 (CCC2) (“Open circuit or out-of-range indoor temperature sensor; heat and cool operation lock out while manual fan can continue”).

- Turn the affected HVAC equipment off if it is not operating normally.
- Use normal RV power indicators to note whether shore power, generator power, or battery power is present.
- Record the E2 code, room temperature shown by the thermostat if available, mode, fan setting, and setpoint.
- Use only normal thermostat controls to turn off heat or cooling if the coach is uncomfortable.
- Note whether fan-only operation continues before arranging service.

- Indoor temperature sensor and CT thermostat circuit diagnosis should be handled by authorized Dometic service or qualified RV HVAC service.
Do not bypass thermostat wiring, rooftop equipment controls, module boards, DIP switches, 120 VAC circuits, or freeze/sensor safeties. Shut off the affected HVAC equipment and arrange qualified RV HVAC service for unresolved faults.
Do not open thermostat, rooftop HVAC, or electrical compartments, and do not bypass communication or sensor circuits. Shut the affected HVAC system off and arrange qualified RV HVAC service for unresolved Single Zone LCD faults.
