Norcold refrigerator: temperature setting flashes
Most Norcold documentation lists “temperature setting flashes” as “The refrigerator is operating on the Backup Operating System”. Some model lines word it differently or give it a different meaning: Norcold N10LX / NA10LX (“The thermistor has been sensed as inoperable, so temperature is controlled via backup operating system”).

Do not bypass refrigerator controls, flame-sense devices, high-temperature protection, LP components, or electrical circuits. Shut off LP and power if there is gas odor, flame abnormality, overheating, or repeated fault behavior.
