Dometic RUA/RUC first use, ventilation, and battery management

Use this when a Dometic RUA or RUC refrigerator is being used for the first time, has mild first-use odor, needs ventilation clearance, or shows battery-management mode concerns.

Owner-safe checklist

  • Clean owner-accessible interior surfaces with a damp cloth before first use if the manual calls for it.
  • Leave cooling ventilation openings clear and allow the refrigerator time to pull down temperature before loading sensitive food.
  • Record battery-management warnings, selected mode, first-use timing, and whether ventilation or direct sun may be affecting cooling.
  • Use Dometic or qualified service for persistent odor, electrical symptoms, or repeated power-mode trouble.
