Dometic RUA/RUC not cooling enough

Use this when a Dometic RUA or RUC refrigerator is not cooling sufficiently, runs too long, or needs temperature, ventilation, or first-use loading checks. Dometic points to lower temperature settings, food over 4 C/39 F risk, ventilation openings, and service-only stopped-cooling states.

Owner-safe checklist

  • Move food if refrigerator temperature is unsafe.
  • Set a lower temperature and verify that food or containers are not blocking cooling ventilation openings.
  • Record selected mode, ambient heat, temperature setting, front-panel state, and whether the refrigerator is in first-use startup.
  • Call authorized service if power is present and the refrigerator still does not cool.
