Dometic refrigerator code W11

Most Dometic documentation lists W11 as “DC overvoltage is present”. Some model lines word it differently or give it a different meaning: Dometic RMD10T / RMD10XT (“DC overvoltage above the manual threshold”).

Check your model first. The same code can mean different things on different models. Find the model number on the appliance's data label, then use the matching row below.

Dometic RUCThe official Dometic RUC support page lists W11 as a refrigerator fault message. What you can safely check

  • Stop using DC mode if the warning persists.
  • Record the coach battery or charger state from owner-visible monitors.
  • Record the exact fault code and take a photo of the display.
  • Check only obvious owner-safe conditions such as blocked exterior vents or interrupted RV power.
  • Let the condition clear only if cooling and power appear normal.
  • Record display fault W11 and take a photo of the display.
  • Check battery voltage only from owner-visible RV monitor panels or normal refrigerator controls.
  • Reset the error once by pressing the encoder button for 3 seconds until a beep is heard.

Stop and call a technician for

  • Charging-system and refrigerator electronics diagnosis are service-only.
  • Cooling-system, LP, electrical, sensor, control, and repeated-fault diagnosis belongs to an authorized Dometic service provider.
  • A continuing W11 fault must be handled by an authorized service provider.
  • Battery-supply diagnosis, wiring, fuses, sensors, and control electronics are service-only.

Do not open gas, electrical, or cooling-system components; use only documented front-panel actions and call qualified RV service for repeated faults.

Use only the front-panel reset and basic owner-visible checks from the manual; keep LP, electrical, cooling, and module diagnosis with qualified service.

Do not bypass refrigerator safety controls or work on LP/electrical components. Shut off LP and power if there is gas odor, scorching, abnormal heat, or repeated fault behavior.

Do not service DC circuits, wiring, fuses, sensors, or refrigerator controls; use only owner-visible battery-voltage checks and front-panel reset before qualified service.

Write this down before you call

  • Interior data label model, product number, serial number
  • Front display code or lamp state photo
  • Power module/display board part number if service requests it
  • RUC model label
  • battery voltage shown by owner-visible monitor
