Furrion documentation describes E4 separately for each model line: Furrion 2.4 GPM tankless water heater (FWH09A) (“Water inlet temperature system fault”); Furrion F2GWH tankless water heater (“Water inlet temperature probe failure”). Compare the wording for your model below.

What you can safely check

- Contact Furrion or a qualified technician if E4 returns.
- Turn the water heater off.
- Contact Furrion if the code continues after a normal reset.
Stop and call a technician for
- Internal sensor, ignition, flame-sense, ECO, blower, pressure-switch, linear-valve, wiring, and controller diagnosis is qualified service work.
- Flame sensing, combustion, air pressure, fan, solenoid, sensor, board, LP, exhaust, and internal water-heater diagnosis is qualified service work.
Do not keep operating a tankless gas water heater with repeated display faults, abnormal heat, blocked exhaust, gas odor, or unstable hot-water temperature.
Do not run a gas water heater with abnormal flame, blocked venting, gas odor, or repeated lockout. Shut off LP/power and call service if the code persists.
