Furrion Fd fault code — Water heater

What Fd means
The Furrion F2GWH manual lists Fd as winter-use mode or freeze protection; the unit runs briefly and shuts off in freezing conditions when LP and 12V power are on.
Owner-safe checks
- Recognize this as winter-use or freeze-protection behavior, not a normal heating call.
- Do not rely on this mode to protect the RV plumbing system.
- Winterize the RV water system when freezing storage is possible.
Service-only work
- Internal sensor, ignition, flame-sense, ECO, blower, pressure-switch, linear-valve, wiring, and controller diagnosis is qualified service work.
Safety boundary
Furrion freeze-protection behavior only protects the water-heater heat exchanger under the manual's conditions and does not winterize the RV plumbing system.
