Lippert 2 flashes fault code — Water heater
Applies to: Girard GSWH-1M
What 2 flashes means
The Lippert Girard GSWH-1M owner manual lists 2 flashes on the diagnostic LED as flame detection error.
Owner-safe checks
- Turn hot-water demand off and power-cycle once only from normal controls if safe.
- Record the exact LED state, water-flow state, LP status, 12V status, and whether the same pattern repeats.
- Contact Lippert/Girard or a qualified technician if the LED pattern returns.
Service-only work
- Internal ignition, airflow, flame-sense, gas, blower, wiring, 12V diagnostics, ECO, winter-use-device, and controller work is qualified service work.
Safety boundary
The legacy Girard GSWH-1/GSWH-1M is an LP gas tankless water heater. Shut the heater off for gas odor, overheating, leaks, blocked exhaust, repeated lockout, or repeated LED faults and use Lippert/Girard or qualified RV service.
