Norcold refrigerator code no FL
Most Norcold documentation lists no FL as “The burner did not ignite or re-ignite”. Some model lines word it differently or give it a different meaning: Norcold N64X / N84X (“LP ignition or re-ignition failed and an audible alarm is also present”); Norcold N109X / N109XIM / N1095 (“LP ignition or re-ignition failed and an audible alarm is also present”).
Check your model first. The same code can mean different things on different models. Find the model number on the appliance's data label, then use the matching row below.

What you can safely check
- Record the exact display wording and whether an audible alarm is present.
- Turn the refrigerator off if cooling is interrupted or the fault repeats.
- Keep food safety in mind and move perishables if needed.
- Move perishables if refrigerator temperature is unsafe.
- Record the exact code and whether the fault happened in LP/manual gas or automatic mode.
- Confirm LP is available using normal RV owner controls and shut LP off if any gas odor is present.
- Switch the refrigerator off.
- Make sure LP supply is not intentionally shut off before documenting the issue.
- Record whether the code happens only on LP mode.
Stop and call a technician for
- LP pressure, shutoff valve, burner, ignition, and gas-system diagnosis should be handled by qualified Norcold service if basic supply status is not the issue.
- LP pressure, refrigerator LP shutoff, flame-sense, and ignition diagnosis should be handled by qualified Norcold service.
- LP ignition, flame-sense, burner, gas valve, and board diagnosis requires qualified service.
Do not bypass high-temperature recall devices, refrigerator controls, LP components, or electrical circuits. Shut the refrigerator off and arrange qualified Norcold service for repeat or unsafe faults.
Do not hand-light, clean burner parts, adjust LP gas, bypass refrigerator controls, or open electrical compartments. Shut off LP if gas odor is present and arrange qualified Norcold service for unresolved faults.
