What temperature sensor failure limp mode means
For DM2682, DM2683, DMA4064, DMA4067, DMA4068, DM2882, DMA4084, and DMA4087 refrigerators, the Dometic DM/DMA operating manual says a temperature sensor failure makes the control system run on the selected energy source while the cooling unit runs continuously.
Owner-safe checks
- Record the selected energy mode and whether the refrigerator runs continuously.
- Monitor food temperature and stop using the refrigerator if safe temperatures cannot be maintained.
- Arrange Dometic service if the limp condition persists.
Service-only work
- Temperature sensor, associated electronics, and refrigerator controls are service-only.
Safety boundary
Do not service LP hardware, electrical circuits, cooling-system parts, sensors, or refrigerator controls; call qualified service for limp-mode operation.
