Dometic temperature sensor limp mode fault code — Refrigerator
Applies to: RM2351, RM2451, RM2551, DM2652, DM2852
What temperature sensor limp mode means
For RM2351/RM2451/RM2551/DM2652/DM2852 models, the Americana manual says that if the control cannot read the temperature sensor and control the preset temperature, the cooling unit runs continuously on the available energy source.
Owner-safe checks
- Record the model and continuous-run symptom for service.
- Monitor food temperature and stop using the refrigerator if safe temperatures cannot be maintained.
- Do not treat indefinite cooling-unit operation as normal operation.
Service-only work
- Temperature sensor and associated electronics diagnosis or replacement are service-only.
Safety boundary
Do not open gas, electrical, or cooling-system components; use only documented front-panel actions and call qualified RV service for repeated faults.
