The Lippert Ground Control 5th Wheel OneControl owner manual lists EXTERNAL SENSOR as bad connection or wiring to the rear remote sensor.
Owner-safe checks
- Stop automatic leveling.
- Record the message for service.
Service-only work
- Harness checks, fuse checks, controller placement, sensor placement, zero-point calibration, homing, jack service, and motor/controller repairs should be handled by a trained RV technician.
Safety boundary
Never use leveling jacks as service stands. Keep people clear of jacks, pinch points, and trailer movement; do not service jack wiring, sensors, motors, or controllers unless qualified.
