What Comm Error means
The Lippert Ground Control LCD troubleshooting manual lists Comm Error as communication between controller and touchpad has been lost.
Owner-safe checks
- Stop leveling movement.
- Record whether the touchpad reconnects after a normal power cycle.
Service-only work
- Jack motors, hall sensors, controller placement, harness repair, calibration, homing, high-current wiring, and controller replacement should follow Lippert service procedures.
Safety boundary
Never use leveling jacks as service stands. Keep people clear of jacks and pinch points and do not service jack wiring or motors unless qualified.
