What Excess Angle means
The Lippert Ground Control LCD troubleshooting manual lists Excess Angle as excessive angle reached during auto operation or an unsecured controller.
Owner-safe checks
- Stop automatic leveling.
- Relocate the fifth wheel only if it is safe to do so before retrying.
Service-only work
- Jack motors, hall sensors, controller placement, harness repair, calibration, homing, high-current wiring, and controller replacement should follow Lippert service procedures.
Safety boundary
Never use leveling jacks as service stands. Keep people clear of jacks and pinch points and do not service jack wiring or motors unless qualified.
