What 18 means
The official Norcold N4000 touchscreen owner manual lists code 18 as: All symbols on the control panel light up; wait a few seconds until the refrigerator starts normal.
Owner-safe checks
- Wait a few seconds for normal startup to finish.
- Record the code, model, serial number, selected source, and whether the code repeats if the control panel does not return to normal operation.
- Move perishables if temperature is unsafe.
Service-only work
- Persistent startup display faults should be diagnosed by a qualified Norcold Service Center.
Safety boundary
Do not hand-light, clean flame parts, adjust LP gas, bypass refrigerator controls, or open electrical compartments. Shut off LP if gas odor is present and arrange qualified Norcold service for unresolved faults.
