Suburban/Atwood E1 fault code — Induction cooktop

Applies to: Suburban single element induction cooktop, Suburban double element induction cooktop

What E1 means

Outlet voltage is too low; Suburban says to check the power supply.

Owner-safe checks

  • Turn the cooktop off and stop cooking until RV power is stable.
  • Record whether E1 appears on shore power, generator power, inverter power, or a specific campsite pedestal.
  • Check only normal RV power status indicators and whether other appliances show power problems from owner-accessible controls.

Service-only work

  • Opening or attempting to open, modifying, disassembling, repairing, sensor, control, outlet, cord, plug, internal electrical, and power-supply diagnosis is dealer, Suburban Customer Service, qualified RV technician, or electrician work.

Safety boundary

Do not open or attempt to open the cooktop. Stop use after repeated error codes, damaged cord or plug, abnormal heat, or any suspected electrical problem and contact Suburban Customer Service or qualified service.
