Girard GSWH-2 no hot water or lockout

Use this when a Girard GSWH-2 does not heat, shuts down, locks out, or displays a control-panel fault.

Owner-safe checklist

Confirm the user control panel, exterior on/off control, water supply, LP, and 12V power are on from normal RV controls.
Turn the hot-water faucet off and back on once only if the manual describes that reset for the displayed condition.
Stop repeated restart attempts if the heater locks out, overheats, smells like gas, leaks, or shows the same code again.
Record the code, set temperature, displayed temperature, water-flow state, and conditions for Lippert/Girard or qualified service.
