Dometic E1 fault code — Rooftop air conditioner

What E1 means
The Dometic FreshJet FJX operating manual lists E1 as room temperature sensor fault.
Owner-safe checks
- Record E1, room conditions, selected mode, setpoint, and display behavior.
- Stop FreshJet operation from normal controls if the code returns.
- Note whether the room temperature shown on the display seems unreasonable before service.
Service-only work
- Room temperature sensor, display interface, internal wiring, and rooftop compartment diagnosis should be handled by authorized Dometic service or qualified RV HVAC personnel.
Safety boundary
Disconnect power before any FreshJet service. Refrigerant-circuit, sealed-system, sensor, fan, drive, electrical protection, roof seal, and internal component work is for authorized Dometic service or qualified RV HVAC personnel.
