Dometic E2 fault code — Rooftop air conditioner

What E2 means
The Dometic FreshJet FJX operating manual lists E2 as evaporator coil temperature sensor fault.
Owner-safe checks
- Record E2, selected mode, setpoint, indoor and outdoor conditions, and whether airflow changed.
- Stop FreshJet operation from normal controls if the code returns.
- Clean the ADB filter if owner-accessible and keep air intake openings, air nozzles, and ventilation grilles clear.
Service-only work
- Evaporator temperature sensor, coil-protection controls, fan operation, sealed-system condition, and rooftop compartment diagnosis should be handled by authorized Dometic service or qualified RV HVAC personnel.
Safety boundary
Disconnect power before any FreshJet service. Refrigerant-circuit, sealed-system, sensor, fan, drive, electrical protection, roof seal, and internal component work is for authorized Dometic service or qualified RV HVAC personnel.
