Dometic E9 fault code — Rooftop air conditioner
Applies to: FreshJet Series 4, FreshJet Series 7, FJX4333EEH, FJX7333IHP
What E9 means
The Dometic FreshJet FJX operating manual lists E9 as compressor drive or IPM module fault.
Owner-safe checks
- Record E9, selected mode, setpoint, outdoor conditions, and whether other high-draw RV loads were active.
- Ask campsite management whether campsite power is sufficient and stable for air conditioner operation.
- Reduce active electrical consumers and unwind a cable drum if one is used, then retry once from normal controls.
- Stop FreshJet operation from normal controls if the code returns.
Service-only work
- Compressor drive, IPM module, current sensor, internal electrical protection, sealed-system condition, and rooftop compartment diagnosis should be handled by authorized Dometic service or qualified RV HVAC personnel.
Safety boundary
Disconnect power before any FreshJet service. Refrigerant-circuit, sealed-system, sensor, fan, drive, electrical protection, roof seal, and internal component work is for authorized Dometic service or qualified RV HVAC personnel.
