What red flash 8 means
The manual maps Flash Code 8 to DC input voltage that is too low.
Owner-safe checks
- Turn the refrigerator off and back on once.
- Check only installed battery monitor or converter status if visible.
- Record battery voltage if available from an installed monitor.
Service-only work
- Voltage-drop, converter, wiring, and control diagnosis should be handled by qualified RV electrical service or Norcold service.
Safety boundary
Do not bypass refrigerator controls, flame-sense devices, high-temperature protection, LP components, or electrical circuits. Shut off LP and power if there is gas odor, flame abnormality, overheating, or repeated fault behavior.
